I had heard mixed reviews regarding this restaurant, but decided to try it anyway. Boy was I glad that I did!! We got there 15 minutes early of our reservations, but got seated immediately. Our waitress, Cynthia was both engaging and helpful with her suggestions. We ordered the appetizer sampler for a starter and i got the Creole filet mignon while my bf got the new york strip steak. The appetizer came out within 10 minutes and let me tell you that the coconut shrimp is just as wonderful as everyone says it is - and I am not a person who normally likes coconut shrimp. The crab artichoke dip with the bread had nice texture and the bread with the perfect amount of crunch without hurting the roof of your mouth. My filet mignon was both super tender, well prepared and melted in my mouth. The mashed potatoes we perfect in texture and went very well with the filet. My bf's new york strip had a glaze on it that added wonderful flavor to the tender meat and paired with the layered blue cheese Douphinoise potatoes (which were his favorite) was definitely worth the price. The double chocolate bread pudding was well worth the wait and ended our meal nicely. While not cheap overall, I can honestly say that the food here was better than Ruth's Chris in Beverly Hills! I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to try something delicious while in Downtown Disney!
